15 Deaths In The First Half Of 2020 That Shook Bollywood industry

2020 has turned out to a nightmare so far. The Australian fires, earthquakes, locust attacks, and the most hard-hitting COVID-19 pandemic. The world is suffering and all of us are going through some difficulty in one way or the other.

But this year is proving to be very harsh to Bollywood. We are just halfway through the year and Bollywood has lost so many talented souls. Be it a suicide, terminal illness, or any other reason, Bollywood has seen a line of deaths in the first half of the year and we wish this streak ends now.

Here is a list of some important and well-known artists that we lost:

1- Irrfan Khan – Irrfan, who was battling with the neuroendocrine tumor for two years, succumbed to the disease on April 29 at the age of 53.

2- Rishi Kapoor – Rishi Kapoor, who was one of the most talented actors in Bollywood, breathed his last on April 30 after a long battle with cancer.

3- Sushant Singh Rajput – Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai residence on June 14. According to media reports, the 34-year-old actor had committed suicide and was also battling depression for quite some time.

4- Wajid Khan – Music composer Wajid Khan of Sajid-Wajid fame has passed away on June 3. He died of cardiac arrest and was also tested positive for COVID 19.

5- Nimmi – Veteran actress Nimmi breathed her last on March 25. She was 87 and was having breathing difficulties.

6- Imtiaz Khan -Late actor Amjad Khan’s brother Imtiaz Khan, who is known for his performance in movies like Yaadon Ki Baraat, breathed his last on March 15. He was 77.

MohitBaghel, Yogesh Gaur, Saroj Khan, Basu Chatterjee, Anil Suri, Anwar Sagar, SaiGundewar, Kishore Ballal, and RanijtChowdhary have also passed away and were all important and known artists of the industry.
